Breathing Waterfall

With so much negativity around us I personally choose to live, breathe, and speak the opposite. I choose not to focus on the voices around me. I may hear them, but I refuse to ponder them. I may feel dismayed but I choose not stay that way. I choose to encourage more and speak loveliness, life, and peace into the hearts and lives of others. I will intentionally look for ways to build others up.

People are starved for encouragement. People long to know and hear what is right with them instead of what is wrong. I choose to bless our new president and to believe the best in him and for him.

I see the word encourage just like it sounds "in courage" I choose to aggressively and passionately fight for others by "inserting courage" into their minds and hearts. The enemy is working hard and fast to make you believe you "ain't who you really are" . The adversary works like a dog to withdraw. I will work like a soldier to deposit goodness. So I choose to do the opposite of negativity. To take up the sword of truth and speak goodness and grace into others.

If I have a pleasant thought about someone, I will do all I can to follow through and let that person know about it. If I have a negative thought about someone, I will intentionally discard it like a piece of trash and replace it with something pure and lovely.

When I feel discouraged and feel starved for encouragement, I will go to the Father and tell Him how I feel and ask him to lift my heart. He is good at this you know. Then I will pick myself up and take my life like a breathing water fall and allow love and refreshment to gush over hardened hearts . Just as a waterfall rushes over solid boulders, I will not withhold one word of love that God gives me for someone. I will not withhold one act of generosity.

Negativity clogs your love pipes. This is not God's best. Let us all endeavor to violently pursue love and to think on the best things. The best things of life, of others and to focus on the best of the best, Jesus!

I am still a work in progress. I have not arrived. But I am not who I was and I know with the grace of God I am better and that the good work He began in me will be accomplished. This is my daily declaration!

Morning Bagel: Love always looks for the best. (2 Corinthians 13:6) The Message Bible

Daily Hug: When I was a young girl, my grandfather gave me a beautiful white book of William Shakespeare love poems. In the front of the book, he wrote, "If you want to know the true meaning of love read 2 Corinthians 3-7. He made a little velvet heart for me and placed it in the book. I will treasure this gift forever.

This morning I came across this scripture which is also found in 2 Corinthians.

"I do want to point out friends that time is of the essence.
There is no time to waste, so don't complicate your lives unnecessarily.
Keep it simple-in marriage, grief, joy, whatever. Even in ordinary things-your daily routines of shopping, and so on. Deal as sparingly as possible with the things the world thrusts on you. This world as you see it is on its way out." 2 Corinthians 13:29-32 The Message Bible

I love the practicality of the Word of God. And I think this one is worth writing out and placing somewhere in sight as a great reminder to live as free of complications as possible.

Father, You are the Master Encourager. I want to be like you. Help me to be like a breathing water fall, breathing life and bring refreshment to others. Let me be one that will cover hard rocky hearts in the purity of love. Give me words of life to speak to others. Life it so short. Live through me and make a difference through me today.

Live through me, Live though me
Take my life and live through me.
When I am down and feeling all alone,
Live through me, Live through me.

I know all things work for your good.
But I do not know how this ever could.
I only claim Your promise made.
To give me strength enough to pray.

Live through me. Live through me.
Take my life and live through me.
When I am down, And feeling all alone.
Live through me.

In Jesus Name. Amen.

These lyrics were written by a lady who was in despair when her husband walked out on her.

(If you check here frequently I will not be blogging next week as we are having family visitng from S.C. If you are a reader, please let me hear from you. It sure sure would be encouraging to know if you are being blessed in some way by the writings and prayers. And I want to thank the few of you who have commented and emailed me. Ange, this really inspired and motivated me. I want to be part of the solution, not part of the problem.
